La Vierge Noir Pinot Noir
On Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, where the cool sea breeze meets rich South African soil, this elegant Pinot Noir is cultivated. It matures under maritime influence, bringing fog and cool winds from the Atlantic, resulting in balanced, complex grapes. With its cool climate, it boasts fresh, vibrant fruit and subtle earthy notes - Burgundy style, with hints of raspberries, mushrooms, and bacon.
After careful harvest and selection, grapes are gently destemmed, crushed, then undergo controlled fermentation and aging in French oak barrels for nine months, adding depth and structure.
The result is an authentic Pinot Noir expressing the terroir of Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. Enjoy now or cellar for 8 years.

This wine shows cool climate poise and elegance with an earthy and bright fruit character. This vintage expresses the typical earthy and savoury aroma of this fine Burgundy variety and is backed by a red fruit character. A greater selection clones and blocks during picking and older elements in the blend shows a darker and more textured style in bottle from previous vintages.
