Survivor Syrah

This wine is a dark, intense beauty with a pungent nose of liquorice and black fruits, accented by notes of cloves, thyme, and white pepper. Despite the expressive aromas, the palate is surprisingly well-structured and full-bodied, with the flavors restrained and layered. The finish is long and lingering, leaving you wanting more.

The grapes for this wine were sourced from low-yielding trellised vineyards on deep red Hutton and Oakleaf soils, as well as bush vine vineyards on decomposed granite in the Swartland.

Harvesting occurred at optimal ripeness, with handpicking in the cool morning hours. After a 24-hour cold soak, fermentation took place for 10 days with pump-overs every 4 hours. The wine underwent MLF in French oak barrels, of which 20% were new. The wine was then matured for 18 months before racking, fining, and bottling.

This is a must-try wine for any lover of bold, structured reds.
